Originally African, Agogó is a percussion as well as a melodic instrument which was developped in Latin America and is played mainly in Brazil. It consists of a 2- to 4-bell set that one hits with a wooden or metal stick, producing as many different notes. Agogo means bell in yoruba (Nigeria).
This model is a painted metal Agogó( 2-bell set), delivered with its wooden stick.
NB: To make the best of their excellent sound quality, Ginga Contemporãnea Agogó bells should be struck not-too-hard, on its upper side.
