Originally African, Agogó is a percussion as well as a melodic instrument which was developped in Latin America and is played mainly in Brazil. It consists of a 2- to 4-bell set that one hits with a wooden or metal stick, producing as many different notes.
This agogo de castanha is made from coconut wood. It's hand made in the Nordeste of Brazil and produce a hot and perfectly tuned sound.
Delivered with its wooden stick.
