This seed rattle is an African-made idiophone, used in traditional dance rituals. It can also be played among other instruments to enrich the accompaniment of a large variety of musical styles, or as a sound effect to storytelling.

Played with mastered gentleness, this instrument can sound like waterfall.
Its natural Entada seeds (beans) are hollowed out and fixed together with a plaited lace scheme. About thirty seeds are attached to the braid (half its length).Crécelle de cheville.
