Indian anklets (4 rows)
A pair of Indian ankle bracelets with 4 rows of small bells.
Designed for Indian dancing, these anklets were cerfully handmade in New Delhi (India).
The bells are made from a special alloy which is responsible for their unique sound quality. Their sturdy fixing and the padded material of their “belt” make it confortable and easily adjustable to any ankle size (lace fastening).
This instrument, which belongs to the group of percussion idiophones, is sometimes called Ghungaroo and is alternatively used to play the beat or give a pleasant tinkling quality to the overall musical arrangement. Although primarily used in dancing, anklets can be used on wrists by percussionists or other musicians.
note : The picture shows a 3 rows bracelets but the proposed model has 4 rows.
